SCHNEIDER CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
Since 1983, Schneider Children's Hospital (SCH) in New Hyde Park, a member of the North Shore - LIJ Health System, has been providing the most comprehensive health care for children ranging from the smallest premature infant through young adulthood. SCH is a full-service, acute care, medical and surgical hospital, providing sophisticated treatment is all disciplines from renowned pediatric specialists in a comforting family-friendly environment. Funds from LIREG will go to support the expansion of the pediatric ambulatory cancer center, scheduled for completion in Fall 2008.

NORTH SHORE HOLIDAY HOUSE
Since 1914 NSHH has provided a summer camp experience for Long Island girls age 7 to 11 who live below the poverty level. Campers partake in traditional camp activities, a literacy program and other activities not ordinarily available to their families. Funding from IREG will support the construction of a new pool.

ATDC/ANGELA'S HOUSE
Angela's House is a not-for-profit agency that assists families caring for children who are chronically ill or suffering from a life-threatening condition. Angela's House provides 24-hour nursing care for medically-fragile children in facilities located in East Moriches and Smithtown. Funds from LIREG will support construction of a third facility.

Haven House/Bridges is a not-for-profit agency whose primary objective is to assist homeless families find and maintain permanent housing. HHB operates both congregate and scattered-site emergency housing in Suffolk County and provides many support services. Funds from LIREG will support construction of an addition to a housing facility.
