BUILDING A STRONGER FUTURE FOR LONG ISLAND CHARITIES

Philanthropy remains a core mission of LIREG. In 2017, we were proud to support the following projects:

Northwell Health Foundation

LIREG presented $100,000 to help fund a redesign and upgrade of the
North Shore University Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Tri Community and Youth Agency

TRI CYA received $17,000 to be used for construction of a computer center, a music section in the drop-in and a reception and greeting desk in the lobby of its building in Huntington. The agency supports the growth and development of youth and their families in Huntington, South Huntington and Cold Spring Harbor, providing a broad range of educational, recreational, social, cultural, athletic, counseling and advocacy programs.

New Ground, Inc.

New Ground provides social work and education services to help families and veterans break the cycle of poverty and homelessness. LIREG gifted the group $15,000 for construction of new space for an onsite reading program and for building a food pantry.

The Viscardi Center

The Viscardi Center LIREG presented the Center with $75,000 for the replacement of a canopy on the Henry Viscardi School building and for a kitchen renovation at the Independent Living House on The Viscardi Center campus. The Albertson-based charity is dedicated to educating, empowering and employing people with disabilities.

“LIREG is a great group of people who really enjoy what we do. A big part of that is raising money to give back to the Long Island community that has supported us over the years.”
