LIREG W was created in 2014 to increase the voice and opportunity for professional women in the real estate industry and the allied trades who live or work on Long Island. It immediately became one of LIREG’s fastest growing and most enthusiastic member groups, with 100 attendees at its first event.

“Big Deal” Speakers

What began as purely networking and social opportunities for members has expanded into educational events with “big deal” presenters discussing high profile projects. For example, in 2017 LIREG W hosted:

  • Rebecca D’Eloia from Forest City Ratner, speaking about the future of Nassau Coliseum and the redevelopment of the surrounding area

  • Kelley Coughlan-Heck from Tritec Real Estate Company along with Kathleen Deegan-Dickson from Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana, LLP to discuss Dealertrack and what it takes to get deals done on Long Island

  • Ellen Cea from Rechler Equity to fill us in on her firm’s innovative responses to Long Island’s changing real estate market
